What We Can Do For You
If you have a disability or chronic condition causing issues with your walking and mobility, we are very likely to be able to help.
Our clinic is run by leading clinicians with years of neuro physical therapy and orthotic management experience. These clinicians will be able to improve your walking with targeted therapies and the application of the most recent orthotic technology- as informed by our 2 camera, computer assisted gait analysis system.
During your first session with The Gait Clinic, your physiotherapist and orthotist will conduct a full assessment and computer assisted gait analysis.
Using this information they will create a collaborative plan using assistive technology and targeted exercises to improve your walking and mobility.
Your team will provide a plain English report on gait deviations and our suggestions for orthotic management, footwear and other technology which may be required.
During the session, you will get to experience custom orthotic solutions in real-time and be part of the decision making process.
After your team has worked with you for several weeks, we can then re-analyse your gait to check for measurable improvement and initiate new techniques based on the report.
These interventions can optimize your gait and make your walking faster, more efficient, more symmetrical and more stable.
Individuals walk away with a clear plan of how to achieve their best available walking solution for both now and into their future. Most clients work with us over long periods and see large improvements. We can also work with you over a timeframe which suits you, or even provide a report which can be taken to your preferred physiotherapist or healthcare provider.
